A Study on the Performance of Students in English Language Education at Public Secondary Schools of District Nushki, Balochistan

This study examines the importance and place of teaching English in Pakistan, identifying problems and factors in teaching, and identifying measures to increase students' English proficiency. The growing globalization has shifted people's mindset towards western science and technology, leading to a decline in self-esteem and doubting national language competence. This has created two classes in Pakistan: Urdu-speaking and English-speaking. Poorly trained teachers blame students for struggling with English. According to the importance of English, the need for research on this problem was felt and to complete the research under consideration, the available relevant literature was studied. The research strategy was a descriptive one and the questionnaire was used as research tool. A total of 20 secondary schools of District Nushki were selected in the research under consideration. These include govt. boys and girls high schools and through sampling, the results was generalized to the entire population. The direct and indirect information related to the subject is collected and, after validation, appropriate, reliable instruments are used. With the help of this, all the required information has been obtained to the fullest extent, the researcher has used the questionnaire, interview to provide the data.
